About MyGroceryPal
Last updated 21 September 2026.
MyGroceryPal is a free UK grocery price comparison and price tracker. It puts the price of the same product at every supermarket that sells it side by side, and keeps a dated history of how that price has moved.
What it does
MyGroceryPal compares prices and tracks price changes across Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Aldi, Morrisons, Co-op, Waitrose, Iceland, B&M, Boots, Superdrug, Savers and Ocado (including M&S).
Every product page shows the price at each store that sells it, the price per unit so different pack sizes compare fairly, and how the price has moved over recent weeks, so you can tell a real drop from a promotion that returns every month.
You can save the products you buy and get an alert when one drops, follow a brand or a keyword, fill a basket to see which store is cheapest for the whole shop, and share that basket with the people you shop for. It works on the web and in the free iOS and Android apps.
How the comparison is worked out
A product page groups the listings that are the same physical product across stores. Grouping uses the barcode where a store publishes one, and otherwise brand, name and pack size, so a 500g jar at one store is not compared against a 200g jar at another.
Each listing carries the price that store is showing for it, including any promotional price the store is currently advertising. The lowest of those is the headline price. Because pack sizes differ, every listing also carries a price per unit worked out from the pack size on the listing, and that is the figure to compare when the packs are not the same size.
A price drop on the deals pages is a fall against that product's own recent price at the same store, not against a different store's price. A drop that only returns a product to a price it held a fortnight earlier is a weaker signal than one that takes it below anything in its recent history, and the price history on the product page is there so you can see which of the two you are looking at.
Loyalty card prices count, and we name the card a price needs: with Clubcard, with Nectar, with More Card, for Co-op members or with a Health & Beautycard.
What a comparison does not include: delivery and collection charges, minimum basket fees, the cost of getting to a store, and multibuy offers that depend on quantities you may not want. A basket total is the sum of the listed prices, nothing more.
How often prices refresh
Most prices are refreshed daily, and a product page shows when each one was last seen. Prices can still differ from what a retailer is showing at this moment, and they can differ by store location and between a retailer's online and in-store prices. The retailer's own site and the price at the checkout are authoritative. Treat everything here as a guide to where to look, not as a guarantee of what you will pay.
Reporting a wrong price
If a price here is wrong, or a product page groups two products that are not the same thing, please tell us. There is a report link on every product page, and the contact page explains what to include so it can be fixed quickly.
Editorial independence
No retailer pays for placement, ranking or inclusion. Stores on a product page are ordered by price. A store is added because its prices can be compared usefully, and removed if they cannot. Nothing on a product page is sponsored, and no retailer sees or approves any of this before it is published.
How it earns
Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links, which may
earn MyGroceryPal a commission if you buy after following one.
This costs you nothing and never changes the prices shown, the
order stores appear in, or which products are listed. Affiliate
links carry rel="sponsored" in the page source.
The app and website also show a small number of ads from Google. MyGroceryPal Pro, an optional subscription, removes them and lifts the limits on brand alerts and target prices.
Who runs it
MyGroceryPal is run independently in the United Kingdom by one person. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any retailer, and retailer names and trade marks belong to their owners.
