Delete Your Account

MyGroceryPal

If you wish to delete your MyGroceryPal account and all associated data, please follow the steps below. This process is permanent and cannot be undone.

1. Open the MyGroceryPal app on your device.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Scroll down and tap on Delete Account.
4. Confirm your choice when prompted. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

What happens when you delete your account?

• All personal data associated with your account (such as your email, preferences, and grocery lists) will be permanently deleted from our servers. A list you shared stays with its other members.
• Any authentication tokens stored on your device will be removed.
• We also ask Amplitude to erase the analytics it holds against your account, and RevenueCat to erase its record of any MyGroceryPal Pro subscription.
• Deleting your account cancels a MyGroceryPal Pro subscription bought on the website straight away, but not one bought in the App Store or Google Play. Cancel that there first, or the store keeps billing you.
• A few records are kept on purpose: your privacy choices for 24 months, so we can show what you agreed to; your email address on our do-not-email list if our email to it bounced or you marked it as spam; and any feedback you sent, detached from your account. Crash reports expire after 30 days. The privacy policy has the details.

Delete some of your data without deleting your account
Email hello@mygrocerypal.co.uk from the address on your account and tell us what you want deleted, such as your analytics data, a basket or your feedback. We will do it and confirm within one month. You can also turn analytics and crash reporting off at any time in Profile > Privacy & data.
